Enertech Global is both somewhat dispirited yet immensely excited to announce that our own Jeff Hammond is moving on. This move, however, will be a great benefit to the larger geothermal industry, and Mr. Hammond will be bringing his expertise and knowledge to IGSHPA. The International Ground Source Heat Pump Association has been laser-focused on re-invigorating the entire industry, and Jeff's transition is coming at the perfect time. We have no doubt that Mr. Hammond and IGSHPA's combined experience and passion will be a significant asset to the future of ground source heat pumps. Read IGSHPA's official press release below!

IGSHPA Hires Executive Director

IGSHPA announced today that Jeff Hammond will be joining the organization as Executive Director, effective October 4, 2021. In this newly created role, Mr. Hammond will be responsible for identifying and pursuing strategic growth and innovation opportunities for IGSHPA, which is a non-profit, member-driven organization established in 1987 to advance ground source heat pump (GSHP) technology on local, state, national, and international levels. His initial efforts will be working with members to develop new training curricula and update existing courses.

Mr. Hammond earned a B.S. in business administration from the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and an A.A.S. in electrical engineering technology from Purdue University. He joins IGSHPA after an impressive history in the ground source heat pump (geothermal) industry, spanning more than 30 years, including positions at ClimateMaster, Enertech, Geo-Flo, and WaterFurnace. He most recently served as Vice President, Technical Services for Enertech Global, LLC.

"Jeff brings a considerable amount of industry knowledge and management experience," said Kortney Lull, Chairperson of the IGSHPA board of directors. "That expertise will be invaluable in our efforts to grow the industry and enhance our leadership position in training.” Hammond added, “IGSHPA’s goal of a unified effort in promoting geothermal technology through training and industry outreach makes this new challenge very exciting.”

Meet Jeff Hammond and the IGSHPA board members at the IGSHPA Annual Conference at NGWA (National Ground Water Association) Ground Water Week at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee, December 14 to 16, 2021 or at upcoming IGSHPA Town Hall meetings.
